In this chapter, we ve explored in detail how to create the application definition file that populates the meta database with Business Data Catalog properties. We explored how to configure database connection information, including the LOB system and LOB system instance. We learned how to define entities, including type descriptors, parameters, methods, associations, and actions. Once we created the file, we learned how to import it into the Shared Services Provider.
